colors!

This week we focused on colors!  We painted a big rainbow for our bulletin board. We sang our color song while we turned the pages of our color book.

tune: London bridge is falling down
red and orange green and blue shiny yellow and purple too.
All the colors that we know live up in the rainbow.

We made our own "Scat the Cat" story book. We love clicking our fingers to the Scat the Cat poem as we hear how the cat changes his color throughout the day.

While clicking fingers we say: I'm Scat the Cat. I'm wise and fat. I change my colors just like that!

Our color for the week was BLUE!

We made blue collages with blue foam abc letters, blue tissue paper, blue feathers etc.
We painted with blue paint on blue paper.

Chanukah!

Some of our fun Chanukah activities:

painting our menorahs

After we painted our menorah we stuck on pennies and bolts in order to be able to put candles into it.

Lighting the menorah in our classroom and singing the chanukah songs together!
We also really worked on our counting skills while singing the song "how many candles, how many candles how many candles do we light, on our menorah on our menorah on the first chanukah night?..One One One ...One candle burning...on our menorah...etc
all the way to number 8!

We counted the candles and each had turns putting them into the Menorah!
